Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church

In 1859 God put within the hearts of a group of people a desire to establish a fellowship of born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Under the sovereign hand of God, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church was birthed into this community.

The hand of time has changed the faces of people, and the church, and these changes will continue until the Lord Jesus returns for His church.  But the heart of the church and the people are still the same.  Our hearts desire and prayer to God is that this community be saved by coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. (Romans (10:1)

Many people have discovered the joy of being a part of this friendly, Bible - believing fellowship that works hard to meet the needs of every age group.   We would like to encourage you to come and experience the love and joy of our Faith Family.

I want to share with you the introduction to Who Are You Jesus? by Dawson McAllister

 ...hoplessness and despair are symptons of a deep, underlying problem facing teenagers today.  In a society that seems to have everything, more and more youth are coming to a conclusion that life is a big "put-on," a sham and a deception.  They see the so-called joys of living as a great "con" job by people who don't have any real answers.
... Jesus Christ is the answer, the only answer, to man's deepest needs.  It is vital for each one of us to be thoroughly acquainted with Him and His redemptive work...for ourselves and for those around us who desperately need Him.
 

Mt. Pleasant Youth Program offers a variety of bible studies to help today’s Youth deal with life’s struggles.  We offer Sunday Morning bible study with up to date topics, Wednesday Night D.A.W.G.S - which offers a praise band, fellowship, share and discussion time, and in-depth bible study.  On Sunday Night we offer small group classes, for example; True Love Waits, Covenant Study, Fuel, and more to come.  Each time we meet we show students Jesus and how for them to show other students Jesus.

Mean What You Sing!

 

1Co 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Since 1975, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Chuch has been touching the lives of young children through the Pre-School and Kindergarten.

Our objective is to help families give their children a solid foundation in their early developmental years.   We use the ABeka study program to give the child a good start to their academic life.  We also give the child a solid foundation for living by teaching them the Word of God and memorizing the Word of God.

We strive to make families, communities and our world a better place to live starting in the live of a child one day at a time.  It all starts in the minds of these precious little blessings from God.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
